Restore a deleted domain

POST /api/v1/domains/restore

Recovers a deleted domain from the registry’s redemption period. Chargeable, and usually expensive — restore fees are set by the registry and are far higher than a renewal.

Check the window before you try

Restore only works while the domain is in the redemption period. Call GET /api/v1/domains/info and check that rgpStatues is redemptionPeriod. Once it moves to pendingDelete the domain is beyond recovery and will be released to the public.

The redemption window length per extension is deletionRestorablePeriod in the TLD catalogue — typically 30 days.

Errors

Dna.DomainService:Domain:10043	Not in the redemption period. Check rgpStatues.
Dna.DomainService:Domain:10007	Domain not found or not yours.
Dna.DomainService:Domain:10038	The domain has no registrant contact, which the registry requires for the restore report. Open a ticket.
Dna.DomainService:Domain:10049	No restore price configured for this extension.
Dna.DomainService:Deposit:10001	Insufficient balance.
Dna.DomainService:Reseller:10001	Balance suspended.
