INTERNAL TRANSFER POLICY
ARTICLE 1 – DEFINITION
"Internal Transfer" is the process of transferring domain names registered in the Domain Name API system between different reseller or user accounts within the same registrar infrastructure. This process does not fall under the scope of the ICANN Inter-Registrar Transfer Policy and is solely governed by the provisions of this policy.
ARTICLE 2 – SCOPE
2.1. This policy applies to all reseller and user accounts registered within Domain Name API.
2.2. gTLD, nTLD, and ccTLD extensions are included in the scope. For ccTLD extensions, the specific rules of the relevant registry take precedence.
ARTICLE 3 – CHARGING
3.1. Every Internal Transfer operation for gTLD and nTLD extensions is processed with a mandatory renewal fee of 1 (one) year.
3.2. For ccTLD extensions, charging is subject to the rules of the relevant registry. In many ccTLDs, Internal Transfer is applied free of charge.
3.3. The renewal fees are non-refundable; 1 (one) year is added to the domain's validity period.
ARTICLE 4 – PROCESS
4.1. The Internal Transfer request is initiated by the current owner of the domain name (“Losing Account”).
4.2. The target reseller or user account (“Gaining Account”) provides the necessary information via the Domain Name API system.
4.3. The Losing Account is required to approve the transfer request electronically.
4.4. If approval is given, the transfer is completed immediately. If approval is not given, the request will be automatically cancelled within 5 (five) days.
4.5. The request can be canceled by the user or reseller before the approval period expires.
ARTICLE 5 – RESTRICTIONS
5.1. Internal Transfer can only be performed if the domain name has an “Active/OK” status.
5.2. For domain names with the “Registrar Lock” or “Transfer Prohibited” status, unlocking is required before the transfer.
5.3. In accordance with ICANN rules, a domain name cannot be subject to Internal Transfer for 60 (sixty) days from the initial registration or external transfer date.
ARTICLE 6 – RESPONSIBILITIES
6.1. Domain Name API only provides the technical transfer; it is not responsible for any legal or commercial disputes between reseller and user accounts.
6.2. All Internal Transfer transactions are logged with a date and time stamp and may serve as evidence in legal matters, ICANN, or relevant authorities.
6.3. Domain Name API reserves the right to request additional verification or documents for security reasons.
ARTICLE 7 – EXCEPTIONS
7.1. For certain ccTLD extensions (e.g., .TR, .UK, .DE, etc.), the special rules of the country registry take precedence.
7.2. If additional documents or conditions are required by the registry, the Internal Transfer can only be completed after these conditions are fulfilled.
7.3. Transfers between two different reseller accounts of the same user:
7.4. Transfers in case of Reseller/Company/Individual Transfers
If these documents are submitted by both parties (the transferring and receiving parties), the user transfer of the relevant domain names will be completed free of charge and without any extension of the validity period.
ARTICLE 8 – VALIDITY AND CHANGES
8.1. This policy enters into force on the date published by Domain Name API.
8.2. Domain Name API reserves the right to update, change, or withdraw this policy unilaterally if deemed necessary.
8.3. The updated policy becomes binding on all resellers and users as soon as it is announced in the Domain Name API system.
