DNS Update Cycles for .tr Domain Names
Unlike generic Top-Level Domains (gTLDs) like .com or .net, Name Server (DNS) updates for .tr extensions (including .com.tr, .net.tr, .org.tr, and direct .tr) do not occur instantaneously.
How the Update Process Works
When you change your DNS settings via our panel, the information is recorded immediately. However, for these changes to be reflected in global WHOIS servers and to become active across the internet, the TRABİS (Turkey Network Information Center) "Zone File" must be updated.
Scheduled DNS Update Times
DNS information for .tr domains is refreshed and synchronized three times a day. The update cycles take place at the following times (GMT+3):
Note: To ensure your changes are included in a specific cycle, we recommend completing the update in your control panel at least 15-20 minutes before the scheduled hour.
Key Considerations
- WHOIS Propagation: Even after the DNS is updated at the times listed above, some WHOIS lookup services may show cached (old) data. It is helpful to clear your local DNS cache or use different lookup tools to verify.
- Partial Nameserver Visibility: If you have provided multiple nameservers but only some are visible in WHOIS, this usually indicates that the system is still in the middle of a synchronization cycle. This is resolved automatically during the next update window.
- The 24-Hour Rule: If your information has not been updated within 24 hours of the requested change, please contact our technical support team to verify the validity of your nameserver records.
