Required Documents for .TR Domains

.tr domains are divided into two groups: those requiring documentation (registered with documents) and those not requiring documentation (activated immediately upon application). For .tr domains that require documentation, the relevant documents are uploaded to the system after the application is submitted. Once the documents are reviewed and approved, the domain registration will be completed and activated. .tr domains that do not require documentation are activated at the moment of application without any review.

.TR Domains Requiring Documentation;

.com.tr / .org.tr / .av.tr / .k12.tr / .edu.tr / .net.tr / .bel.tr / .dr.tr / .pol.tr are domains that require documentation. The required documents for these domains are provided below.
 

Required Documents for .COM.TR

To register a .com.tr domain name, certain documents are required.

If your company is a corporate entity, required documents:

  • Trade Registry Gazette from the last 5 years or a Certificate of Activity from the last 6 months
  • Signature circular
  • Domain name allocation form (the blank fields must be filled in and submitted together with the other documents)

If your company is a sole proprietorship, required documents:

  • Certificate of Activity from the last 6 months or Chamber registration certificate
  • Signature circular
  • Domain name allocation form (the blank fields must be filled in and submitted together with the other documents)

If registering based on a trademark, required documents:

  • Trademark certificate or application receipt
  • Signature circular (if in the company’s name)
  • ID copy (if in an individual’s name)
  • Domain name allocation form (the blank fields must be filled in and submitted together with the other documents)

Note 1: The annual price of a .com.tr domain is 25 TL and it can be purchased for up to 5 years. For search engines, we recommend registering for 5 years.

Note 2: If you do not have a trademark certificate, we can handle the trademark registration process for you by paying the single-class application fee of 950 TL + VAT and, after 5–6 months, the registration fee of 1400 TL + VAT.

Required Documents for .ORG.TR

To register a .org.tr domain name, certain documents are required.

  • For associations and foundations, the law of establishment, foundation deed, or association bylaws—first three pages and the last page—must be sent to the “.tr” Domain Name Management.
  • Organizations such as projects and congresses that are non-profit must obtain support letters from at least three non-governmental organizations to apply for the “.org.tr” second-level subdomain.
  • Domain name allocation form (the blank fields must be filled in and submitted together with the other documents)

Required Documents for .AV.TR

To register a .av.tr domain name, certain documents are required.

  • Regarding the allocation of the “.av.tr” subdomain, three groups of documents (information note, rules, and undertaking) have been prepared by the Union of Turkish Bar Associations (TBB) and are available to users at http://www.barobirlik.org.tr/avtr/.
  • For the allocation of “.av.tr” domains; following your application to us, the online application form on the TBB website must be completed. After this, your domain name application will be reviewed by the TBB IT Coordination within the scope of the “av.tr Domain Name Allocation Rules.” If it complies with the rules, TBB will approve it. The domain name will be allocated following the approval sent by TBB.
  • Domain name allocation form (the blank fields must be filled in and submitted together with the other documents)

Required Documents for .K12.TR

To register a .k12.tr domain name, certain documents are required.

  • If the applicant is a public school, a written permission letter on letterhead, signed and stamped by the principal’s office of primary, secondary, or equivalent schools, or the Domain Name Allocation Form signed and stamped by the authorized person must be sent to the “.tr” Domain Name Management.
  • If the applicant is a private school, the Institution Opening Permit issued by the Ministry of National Education and the Business Opening and Work License obtained from the relevant municipality must be sent to the “.tr” Domain Name Management.

Required Documents for .EDU.TR

To register a .edu.tr domain name, certain documents are required.

  • For allocation, a written permission letter on letterhead issued by the rectorate of the university that will use the domain name, signed and stamped by the rector or a person with first-degree signatory authority, or
  • The “Domain Name Allocation Form,” signed and stamped by the authorized person, must be sent to the “.tr” Domain Name Management.

Required Documents for .NET.TR

To register a .net.tr domain name, certain documents are required.
It will be sufficient to submit one of the following documents appropriate to your field of activity to the “.tr” Domain Names Management.

  • “ISP General Authorization Certificate” (Telecommunications License) issued by the Telecommunications Authority,
  • For all individuals or organizations operating on the web, a petition containing the details of the application (e.g., addresses of existing .com or .net websites) (for applications on behalf of individuals, together with a copy of the applicant’s ID card),
  • For individuals or organizations applying for “net.tr” by declaring they will provide Internet services, a petition including the details of the application and stating that if the promised website is found not to have been created, the relevant domain name will be deleted (for applications on behalf of individuals, together with a copy of the applicant’s ID card).

Required Documents for .BEL.TR

To register a .bel.tr domain name, certain documents are required.

  • For allocation, an approval letter signed by the mayor of the municipality that will use the domain name, or
  • The “Domain Name Allocation Form,” signed and stamped by the authorized person, must be sent to the “.tr” Domain Name Management.

Required Documents for .DR.TR

To register a .dr.tr domain name, certain documents are required.
For the allocation of this domain, some documents requested by the Turkish Medical Association (TTB) must be submitted to the TTB. The relevant documents are available to users at http://www.ttb.org.tr/drtr. Applications with pending domain names are allocated based on the approval letter to be sent by the TTB to the “.tr” Domain Name Management.
The “first come, first served” principle applies to domain name allocation.

Required Documents for .POL.TR

To register a .pol.tr domain name, certain documents are required.
For allocation, an approval document signed and stamped by the General Directorate of Security for the law enforcement unit that will use the domain name, or
The “Domain Name Allocation Form,” signed and stamped by the authorized person, must be sent to the “.tr” Domain Name Management.

.TR Domains Not Requiring Documentation;

.biz.tr / .info.tr / .name.tr / .gen.tr / .web.tr / .tv.tr / .tel.tr / .bbs.tr domains are activated at the moment the application is submitted, without requiring documentation. To do this, it will be sufficient to complete the application process via your panel.
