Domain Name API New Reseller Panel Migration Guide: What WHMCS, WiseCP, API, and Module Users Need to Know
Everything you need to know about migrating to the Domain Name API new reseller panel — including WHMCS, WiseCP, HostBill, Blesta, Clientexec, FOSSBilling, Hostfact, .NET API, and PHP API users. Covers API compatibility, 2FA setup, data migration, and key deadlines.
Overview
Domain Name API is migrating its reseller panel to a new microservice-based infrastructure starting June 1, 2026. The rollout is phased — you will be notified individually before your account is moved.
This guide covers everything you need to prepare: which data gets migrated automatically, what action (if any) you need to take based on your setup, how 2FA works on first login, and how to request an early migration.
Migration Timeline
You will receive individual advance notice before your account is scheduled for migration.
What Data Gets Migrated?
The following will be automatically transferred to the new panel — no manual export or re-entry required:
- Your username and password
- All registered domains and their history
- Your deposit balance
- DNS records and all service configurations
What Do You Need to Do?
Ready-Made Module Users — No Action Required
You can log in to the new panel with your existing credentials. No manual update is needed for modules provided by Domain Name API.
| Module / API | What you need to do |
|---|---|
| WHMCS | WHMCS module users — no update required. |
| WiseCP | WiseCP module users — no update required. |
| HostBill | HostBill module users — no update required. |
| Blesta | Blesta module users — no update required. |
| Clientexec | Clientexec module users — no update required. |
| FOSSBilling | FOSSBilling module users — no update required. |
| Hostfact | Hostfact module users — no update required. |
Custom API Integration Users — Update Required
If you have built your own integration using one of the APIs below, you must update it to be compatible with the new REST API architecture by the end of June 2026:
| Module / API | What you need to do |
|---|---|
| .NET API | Resellers using a custom .NET integration must migrate to the new API. |
| PHP API | Resellers using a custom PHP integration must migrate to the new API. |
| Other languages | Node.js, Python, Go, or any other custom integration must also be updated. |
How to update your integration:
- Review the new API documentation and changelog.
- Update your integration to align with the new REST API endpoints and authentication.
- Run your full test suite against the sandbox environment.
- Deploy to production before the end of June 2026.
We strongly recommend completing your sandbox testing well before the deadline. Early testing prevents production downtime.

Resellers who want early access to the new panel can submit a support ticket through the current reseller panel. Our team will schedule a dedicated migration for your account.
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) Requirement
The new panel requires 2FA to be set up on your first login. You can complete this in a few minutes using Google Authenticator or any TOTP-compatible app. Setup is a one-time step — after that, you simply enter a code from your app each time you log in.
What's New in the Panel
This is not just a redesign. It is a ground-up infrastructure rebuild designed to make reseller operations faster, more secure, and fully auditable.
| Improvement | What it means for you |
|---|---|
| Microservice architecture | Faster, more stable infrastructure with independent scaling per service. |
| Next-gen REST API | Built to current REST standards with comprehensive, up-to-date documentation. |
| Mandatory 2FA | Two-factor authentication required on first login — protects your account by default. |
| Advanced reseller management | Sub-reseller setup, granular permission control, and detailed reporting. |
| Detailed activity logs | Full audit trail for every action taken in your account. |
| Performance improvements | Noticeably faster domain transfers, renewals, and restores. |
